报告人简介:

Professor Ikhwanuddin graduated with Bsc in Fisheries Science from Universiti Putra Malaysia in 1991, Msc in Aquatic Science and PhD in Marine Biology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, Malaysia in the year 2002 and 2007, respectively. Professor Ikhwanuddin worked as a fisheries officer in the Fisheries Department Malaysia for 16 years from 1992 to 2008. He joined Universiti Malaysia Terengganu in 2008 until now, and currently a professor in Aquaculture, specialising in aquatic invertebrate culture at Institute of Tropical Aquaculture (AKUATROP), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). Presently, he is the Deputy Director of AKUATROP, UMT. He is the reviewer for a numbers of SCI journals such as Aquaculture, Aquaculture Research, and Fisheries Research. Professor Ikhwanuddin is also an editorial member of a few journals and the Deputy Chief Editor for Journal of Sustainability Science and Management (UMT journal). He has published more than 50 SCI papers in journals such as Aquaculture, Fisheries Research, Plos One, PeerJ, Estuarine, Coastal and Shelf Science, and Aquaculture Research. 

Professor Ikhwanuddin is currently spearheading the research on the aquaculture of crustaceans, nationally and internationally. His research project mainly focus on the reproductive biology and hatchery production of portunid crabs.
